thats so exciting!! Where in Connecticut? Every summer I go back east to work at a barn for a few weeks in upstate NY. It's the opposite of the barn I ride/work/board at in Cali but its actually really fun to get the change of pace on occasion. On the otherhand, i am totally with you wanting to be able to just play around sometimes. I say you should just go ahead and do it (unless theres rules against it). If you ever come to Cali though, you should def come ride with me :)

So,
In a month I’m taking Tessa to Connecticut with me to live at my aunt’s house for two months and be a working student for a very good dressage trainer. I can’t wait to get the training on myself and see what can be done with Tessa in two months under good instruction.
I almost have all of the money for it. I think about it every day. We are going to ride at so many stables and show so much while we are there. It’s going to be the most exciting experience ever.
I worry about looking bad. Compared to the rich people who only know show barns and made horses.
Northern equestrians do things very differently. I feel like everyone is much more uptight. Sometimes i like to get on my mare bareback and hack around, i lead her by my fingers without a lead rope, she likes running full speed in her 3 acre pasture. I hope we aren’t to strange to everyone else. I hope I’m not taken less seriously because i believe in treating my horse with respect. And I hope what i have in my pocket doesn’t keep me from making friends with other riders.
One thing i really really can’t wait to do is ride Tessa around the town. The roads are so quiet and the scenery is so different compared to Florida.

I never try to get more because I think allot of people wouldn’t subscribe for long. Sometimes my tumblr is personal, sometimes it’s about horses, and sometimes i use it to look at really off topic stuff. I don’t really post that much anyway.
